Strong Indy will be having another monthly meetup happening a week early for the month of June on Thursday, June 8th at 7 PM. We’ll be back to our more normal location at Rundell Ernstberger Associates.
This month we’ll have the Indy MPO speaking to us about:
· What is an Metropolitan Planning Organization?
· Why a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)?
· Goals, Objectives, and Performance Measures (the process to date)

Strong Indy, our local chapter of Strong Towns applied to our beloved city of Indianapolis, is having a very special monthly meeting this week on Thursday, May 18th. It’s being hosted by the Harrison Center for the Arts!

Strong Indy, our local chapter of Strong Towns applied to our beloved city of Indianapolis, is having a very special monthly meeting this week on Thursday, April 20th. It’s being hosted by Big Car at the Tube Factory artspace in Garfield Park.
We have the honor of having Cara Courage speak to us about her research in placemaking and her new book which includes a section about the efforts of Big Car in Garfield Park. A reminder for everyone who cares about mass transit in Indy: please come out to the Indy City County Building this Monday evening at 6:30 to greet the councilors as they enter into the public assembly room and then at 7 for the public hearing portion. As long as everything goes according to plan, this will be the final vote by the councilors on whether to move forward with the mass transit plan for Indy.
