“Newfields,†the new brand for the institution formerly known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art, is more notable for what it does not say than for what it does.
It is not primarily concerned with art.
It is not in the city of Indianapolis.
And, most emphatically, it is no longer a museum.
Before I get to the consequence of these pointed omissions, let me begin with two...
