lThe Indianapolis Business Journal mentioned a proposal (about 2/3 of the way down) that has been withdrawn for the Warfleigh neighborhood, which sits just to the west of Broad Ripple overlooking the Central Canal. I had heard about this proposal for a while, but had yet to see any renderings. On Wednesday I discovered a neighborhood forum where the project was discussed with much derision, which piqued my curiosity even more. I asked a person who knows about the project if they had any information, and they sent me this PDF, which contained these renderings:

A few years ago, there was a plan to knock down many of the old buildings, widen the street, and replace the buildings with faux replicas. Fortunately, this was shelved, and replaced with a plan that would keep the buildings, but turn the streets into one-way thoroughfares. This has also been shelved.
Now, there is a new plan by HWC Engineering and Axis. The plan is to restore building facades through a grant application process. They also plan to widen the sidewalks and eliminate turn lanes....

This is an update of the previous case by Milhaus to construct a new apartment complex in the Chatham Arch neighborhood. That case has been withdrawn, and a new proposal has been filed for a possible restaurant and bar with rooftop seating. A few renderings are shown below:
This looks to be a nice proposal that makes good use of the existing...
