Historic Enclave: New Augusta

This is the first of a new series featuring historic enclaves within Marion County.  New Augusta, located on 71st Street, has managed to maintain a pleasant small town atmosphere a few steps to the north east of a busy intersection with Georgetown Road.  In short, this town is gorgeous:

    There are many little places on the fringes of Indianapolis/MC that have some history; this area is a cool find!

    If you’re looking for places in MARION county, consider visiting ACTON. It’s in the southeast corner of Franklin township. It’s very odd to walk the streets and realize you are still in INDIANAPOLIS.
