Sunflower Market Closing

I figured I might as well post this here in case people missed it. I went to the Sunflower Market often, but I probably should have gone to Good Earth instead. The cashier told me that the Indy location was doing well, but it was a corporate decision based on the performance of all of the stores collectively. With the Fresh Market opening soon, though, I imagine it would have cut down my Sunflower Market trips considerably. A few things bugged me about Sunflower Market, not the least of which is that a lot of their packaging was non-recyclable plastic. If you’re going to appeal to greenie weenies like myself, you’ll need to go full bore in order to make it look like it’s not just a facade. Still, the employees were friendly, and I liked the space. I wish them the best.

  • I went in Sunflower Market exactly once. And that was only because I heard they sold Stone beers for $4 per bomber (a great price).

Did I read somewhere that thing would start going on sale there today? I seem to remember something but I can’t find it.

  • Ya, they started selling their stuff at 25% off. I went there tonight and it was packed. I imagine the stuff wan’t last long.
